Its actually a pretty good game. We tried to play before a few years back but were pretty much too lazy to try and figure out the rules properly. What it ended up being then was a boring mess. After tying it again though more recently, we discovered that there is quite a lot of strategy to it and that it can be a rather fun and strategic miniatures game. You are limited on your actions each turn (you can only move a certain number of characters during your turn and once they are moved they can't be moved easily without withholding their actions for a turn), and deciding what powers to use and on what figure can be challenging. The added scenarios you pick for your games makes it very interesting and intriguing too. We played a scenario where the characters were kidnapped by aliens and were forced to battle each other, after a few turns things become deadlier if there isn't a definite winner yet. There was also a capture the flag style scenario where you had to keep ownership of an item for a period of time and whoever had ownership of the item at the end of the tenth turn won the game (Brandon + Manbat apparently = WIN). It was a blast and I would definitely play again if anyone was interested.

It did indeed, although I don't remember Runebound ever taking less than 2-3 hours to get through. Heroclix takes about 45 minutes to about an hour and a half to complete a scenario from our experiences, and most of that was taken up checking on rules.
