Gaian history can be broken down into what are called "Ages" with each Age covering a broad area of years, decades, centuries or millennium, which is normally based upon some sort of life altering event.
The following is a list of each Age throughout Gaian history and any relevant game campaigns that took place during those periods of time.
The Age of Tranquility - Covers the time of the Grand Elves until their extinction
The Age of Rebirth - A long period of thousands of years when the current races were created and began to spread across Gaia.
The Age of Shadows - Covers a period of several decades when the Mortal Realm, Shadow Realm and Aeris Realm were first able to interact with one another.
The Age of Adventure - Covers a long period of time when heroic individuals wandered the planet and set into motion events that were to eventually unfold.

Bill. i think you should make up an actuall number system to go with these ages. It would make some things a little easier. You could do something like : The age of shadows took place from 12,985p.c. to 13,100 p.c. (p.c. meaning "post-cataclysm" post cataclysm could be the event where the continets were broken up.) thats just an example though. I I just think it would be helpful to actually have a year system for those gms that arent you. Also, it would be nice to be able to say in game what year it is, if we ever do any time traveling. (which only happens very rarely )
