Microsoft announced more restrictions to their new XBox One console. You can give games to friends or trade them in, but there are caveats:
You can only give Xbox One games to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days.
Each game can only be given once.
Anyone can play your games on your console -- regardless of whether you are logged in.
Microsoft allows you to gift games to friends but they can't "borrow" them. Microsoft says of this, "loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners."
Xbox One will also allow you to give up to 10 family members access to "log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One."
You can always play your games, but only one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.
Now it's not always connected to the internet(The rumors said otherwise), but needs to have an internet connection so it can check in once every twenty four hours to make sure your not playing things your not supposed to or whatever. It had also said that if you were playing on your friends console it would check in ever hour on your console.
The Xbox One will cost $499 and is scheduled for release in November.
When Sony came out today. They stated that with the PS4 there will be NO restrictions(Which the room exploded in cheers)
You will be able to buy, trade, and borrow games like normal.
Then they supposedly continued to jab at Microsoft with some of their games, showing detailed graphics, showing of independent developers and what not.
Then, if that wasn't enough, they announced the price of the PS4. It is $399! No release date has yet been given.
Sony did say that there will be a subscription service for online play(much like XBox Live)
But yea, I belive Sony just crit hit Microsoft
